About Midwest Brace and Limb Lafayette Custom Prosthetics and Orthotics

Doug Mullin, owner and certified prosthetist/orthotist, knows from experience the hardships that follow an amputation. Born with Myelomeningocele (more commonly known as Spina Bifida), Doug became an amputee at age sixteen. Fitting issues with his own prosthetic led him to make tweaks to the artificial limb himself. From that moment, Doug knew his calling for his profession. Over 20 years later, he is still dedicated to providing the ultimate in care and rehabilitation to his patients. Unlike other prosthetists, Doug uses his own personal experiences to relate to his patients and provide encouragement for that first step toward the rest of their lives.

Midwest Brace & Limb, Inc. opened in 2001. Today, we are a locally owned and operated business that provides foot care, compression therapy, prosthetics, and orthotics services in Lafayette, Indiana.

Our on-site fabrication shop produces all of our custom devices as well as esthetics for orthotic & prosthetic facilities nationwide. This also allows us to provide same day or next day fittings. Our custom prosthetic limbs come with a one-year warranty along with the manufacturer’s warranty.
